I am a Biology graduate. I hold a PGCE with QTS in Primary Teaching and specialised in Early Years. I have 21 years teaching experience. I have spent over eight years on day to day and long term supply teaching assignments in the EYFS and Key Stage 1. All of my classes have been of mixed ability and included children with a range of Special Educational Needs. I have taught children who speak English as an Additional Language and children from minority backgrounds, such as Traveller children. I have enjoyed leading children’s Book Club and Choir. I have been Science Coordinator in a primary school and a Science Technician in a High School. I am particularly interested in the place of play in the EYFS, engaging boys in writing and raising the profile of reading for pleasure.
